The name Worst Premade Ever originated from the team playing as a premade group in Left for Dead. Due to the stigma against premade groups (which often resulted in public teams leaving the match), they had to hide their connections to each other. Unfortunately, they lost most of their matches, resulting in them gaining the self-declared title of "Worst Premade Ever."

Jake initially wanted to be an editor in the film industry. In order to have footage to edit, he began recording and uploading footage of the matches with his premade crew.

WPE took inspiration from SovietWomble when designing their captions.
